The Museum of Flight Rebrand

Tasked with giving The Museum of Flight a hypothetical rebrand, my group and I aimed to give the museum a fresh new look while still holding on to the museum’s dense history. This rebrand included advertisements, merchandise, signage, tickets, and social media.

To develop our concept, we began mind mapping and gathering inspiration. This was an integral part of our process. Once we came up with ideas, we collectively started sketching potential logos. A lot of our initial inspiration came from aircraft anatomy, aviation badges, and vintage airplane seat patterns.

At first, we were using playful, primary colors to target a younger audience. Through our process, we decided to remove all colors and focus more on achieving consistency through common motifs. This included symbols like dots and brackets, seen in our logos and throughout all deliverables.
