Six Degrees Campaign
Six Degrees is a campaign to promote self and social connections both in-person in the Penn State Pattee and Paterno library and digitally. Our goals were to foster empathy, encourage social interactions, and provide the realization that everyone is similar in their differences. This campaign is part of the Evanisko Project, a grant-funded initiative to encourage connectedness at Penn State.

We began by presenting individual proposals for the Evanisko Project, then identified shared themes and formed groups around them. From there, we researched and developed mood boards to evolve our ideas, followed by sketching, surveys, competitor analysis, and the establishment of brand guidelines. We also conducted a site study of the Pattee and Paterno Library to understand the opportunities and constraints of the physical space.
We analyzed successful campaigns such as We’re Not Really Strangers and Spotify Wrapped, using insights from what made them effective to inform our own approach.
